The Last Caretaker Oath Token: How to Get It from The Fourth Chamber

Short answer: The Oath Token is a reusable memory that raises all ten of a human’s attributes. It sits in The Fourth Chamber, a hidden underwater cave about 150 m down at 109, -33. To open it, scan the statue in the cave at the top of each of the three Spires first. The Continuity Token is a different item that opens the Transfer Gate.

Game version: Early Access, Update 6 (October 19, 2026); The Fourth Chamber was added in Update 5, evidence from June to October 2026

What the Oath Token Does

What is the Oath Token?

The Oath Token is a memory item. Put it in a Lazarus Pod while a human grows and it raises every one of the ten psychological attributes, not just one or two like most memories.

The item screen lists 50 next to each of the ten attributes, from Adaptability to Wisdom, as the wiki says.

The wiki’s copy of the item text says it slows the growth down so the human has more time to become whole.

Is the Oath Token reusable?

Yes. The Oath Token is not used up: the same token has grown an Existential Chancellor and then a Colonel of Humanity, and it stays in the Lazarus Pod afterwards.

Why did my human get the wrong profession?

Because it raises every attribute, a human can end up matching several professions, and the game picks one of them. Tracking the profession you want, adding exactly the food and memories it needs and never letting power or water drop should give the right result.

Where to Find the Oath Token

Where is the Oath Token?

In The Fourth Chamber, a hidden underwater cave that Update 5 added, at map coordinates about 109, -33. The Oath Token is in the loot inside.

No navigation beacon reveals it, so it never shows on your map by itself. You have to go to the coordinates.

How deep is The Fourth Chamber?

The cave is about 150 m below the surface, so check your Pressure level, batteries and healing before you go down.

The wiki says the entrance is at about 120 m, on top of an underwater plateau, with Red Cocoons just inside, and that sharks and Night Crawlers roam the water around it.

How to Open The Fourth Chamber

The Fourth Chamber is a secret quest: nothing in your quest log points to it.

Which statues do you scan?

First scan a statue at each of the three Spires: the Spire of Command (20, 46), the Spire of Industry (81, -94) and the Spire of Exodus (183, -38).

Each Spire has a large statue on its peak and a small cave just below it whose mouth is blocked by rocks. Blow the boulder up to get in; the wiki used two Large Grenades at the Spire of Industry.

The three statues are Augustus of Prima Porta (Spire of Command), Vulcan, God of the Forge (Spire of Industry) and Moses (Spire of Exodus). Scanning each one unlocks it to build, and you place all three inside The Fourth Chamber.

What do you do inside the chamber?

The order may matter: Augustus on the left, Moses in the middle, Vulcan on the right. You also need 15 Gold and a canister of electricity to power the door.

Each cave also has a map on the wall. The red lines on the three maps may cross at the chamber’s coordinates.

How do you get to the top of a Spire?

Landing the Salvage Gyro on a Spire is hard, the Spire of Exodus most of all. Hover above the top, cut the engine and jump out, or build stairs up the rock, and bring four or five petrol cans and repair materials for the crashes. Scan the statues with the scan tool, not the Photo Drone.

North Bastion and the Continuity Token

What does the Oath Token do in North Bastion?

Since Update 6, take the Oath Token to Anna’s hologram in North Bastion once you have finished the story there, and you get a second artifact, the Anna Echo. The hologram itself stays in North Bastion.

The Anna Echo may be reusable, like the Oath Token; whether it is used up when you grow a human with it is still an open question.

Is the Continuity Token the same thing?

The Continuity Token is a different item from Update 6’s Project Crossing quest at the Lazarus Complex. The quest panel reads "Investigate the sealed PROJECT CROSSING room", then "Scan the Continuity Token". The token sits on a pedestal in the middle of that room, and the scan prompt says to hold the scan key.

In the beta, the build menu listed the Continuity Token as a quest item that needs 4 Quantum Crystals and 2 Wh of electricity and takes 36 seconds to make.
